Extended Cookie Policy

This website uses technical cookies to ensure the proper functioning of the procedures and improve the user experience of online applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site and how to manage them.

Definitions

Cookies are small text files that sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored and then transmitted to the same sites on the next visit. The so-called “third parties” cookies are, instead, set by a website different from the one the user is visiting. This is because on each site there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc..) residing on servers other than that of the site visited.

Types of cookies

Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, there are different cookies categories:

Technical cookies. Technical cookies are those used exclusively with a view to carrying out the “transmission of  a communication on an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the service provider of an IT company explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service” (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for any further purposes and are usually installed directly by the owner or the website manager. They can be grouped into  browsing or session cookies, which allow users to browse and use a website; analytics cookies can be equated to technical cookies insofar they are used directly by the website manager to collect aggregate information on the number of visitors and the pattern of visits to the website; functional cookies allow users to browse as a function of certain pre-determined set of criteria in order to improve the quality of service. For the installation of these cookies, prior consent of users is not required, while the obligation to provide the information pursuant to art. 13 of the Code remains, which the website manager, if it uses only these devices, can provide according to the most suitable methods.

This site does not use profiling cookies.

Third-party cookies

By visiting this website you may receive cookies from websites managed by other organizations (“third parties”). An example is given by the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or LinkedIn, or systems for displaying embedded multimedia content (integrated) such as YouTube, Flickr. These are parts generated directly by these sites and integrated into the web page of the host site visited. The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies from and to all websites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant information which must be referred to. To ensure greater transparency and convenience, here are the website addresses of the various policies and procedures for managing cookies.

Google Analytics

The site also includes components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). These cookies are used for the sole purpose of monitoring and improving the performance of the website. For further information, please refer to the link below:

https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/

Users can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their browser. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the link below:

Duration of cookies

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until you close your browser or execute any logout command. Other cookies “survive” when the browser is closed and are available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent cookies and their duration is established by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases an expiry date is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited.

Management of cookies

Users can decide whether or not to accept cookies using the settings of their browser.

Warning: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies may compromise the optimal use of the site.

Disabling “third-party” cookies does not affect in any way the navigability.

The setting can be defined specifically for different sites and web applications. In addition, browsers allow you to define different settings for “proprietary” and “third-party” cookies. For example, on Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options->Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether or not to accept different types of cookies and proceed to their removal. On the internet it is easy to find documentation on how to set the rules for managing cookies for your browser. By way of example, here are some addresses for the main browsers:
